Living Metal

LIVING METAL was formed in São Paulo, Brazil in 2018 by Rafael Romanelli with a clear mission: to become an exponent of traditional heavy metal from Brazil to the world. The band's name reflects its philosophy — “Living Metal” or “Living the Metal” — and its music embraces heavy metal as a way of life, drawing heavily from the classic 1980s tradition of bands such as Judas Priest, Manowar, Accept and Saxon.

The band's self-titled debut EP appeared in 2018, followed by their self-released full-length Living Metal, which Metal Warrior Records brought to vinyl. The band also attracted considerable attention through its collaborations and guest appearances, with musicians from Girlschool, Tysondog, Blitzkrieg, Torture Squad, Crypta, Nervosa and other bands contributing to their recordings.

LIVING METAL have continued to develop their traditional heavy metal identity while remaining firmly connected to the international underground. Their later album Viviendo El Metal expanded that approach by paying tribute to the history of heavy metal throughout Latin America, highlighting the band's broader commitment to keeping the spirit of traditional metal alive.
