AXE CRAZY was formed in Lędziny, southern Poland in 2010 and took its name from the 1982 NWOBHM single by Jaguar. From the beginning, the band set out to keep the spirit of traditional heavy metal alive, with influences rooted firmly in the classic metal and NWOBHM tradition. Their first release, the Angry Machines EP, appeared in 2014.
The band followed the EP with Ride On The Night in 2016, released through No Remorse Records, before returning with Hexbreaker in 2019. On Hexbreaker, AXE CRAZY further developed their New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal sound, combining classic heavy metal songwriting with a more modern recording approach. Metal Warrior Records released the album on vinyl in 2020.
AXE CRAZY continued on the same path with Creatures On The Hunt in 2023, explicitly choosing not to change the musical direction established on their previous records. Despite line-up changes over the years, the band has remained committed to traditional heavy metal as both a musical style and a passion.
