ABOUT METAL WARRIOR RECORDS

Metal Warrior Records is an independent record label from the Netherlands, built around a lifelong passion for heavy metal, underground music and physical records. Before Metal Warrior Records started, we were already deeply involved in the metal scene as musicians, collectors and record sellers. This included playing in bands such as BattleHeart and Sacramental Sachem, selling used metal vinyl through mailorder and at record fairs, and spending countless hours looking for old and obscure metal records. That eventually led to starting a record label.

STEELHUNTER RECORDS

In the early 2000s, Steelhunter Records was founded. The label released records by bands such as Vortex, Angus, After All, Double Diamond, later known as Fireforce, and Allied Forces. After a number of years, Steelhunter Records stopped, but the passion for releasing good underground metal remained.

In 2019, Metal Warrior Records was started. The name comes from the Angus demo compilation released through Steelhunter Records. The new label continued the same idea: finding good metal, working with bands and giving their music a proper physical release.

WHAT WE DO

The main focus of Metal Warrior Records is classic and underground metal, with a strong connection to Dutch metal, both old and new. There are many bands and recordings that never got the attention they deserved. Some only released a demo, some albums were released in very small numbers, and many older releases were never available on vinyl. Metal Warrior Records aims to give these records a new life.

Whenever possible, the label looks for albums that have never been released on vinyl before and works with the original bands to make them available as proper physical releases. The catalogue also includes demo collections, unreleased recordings and other material that deserves to be preserved. Alongside these historical releases, Metal Warrior Records also works with new bands carrying the same genuine underground spirit.

VINYL AND CD RELEASES

A big part of Metal Warrior Records is vinyl. Records should be something you can actually hold, look at and keep. That's why the label puts a lot of attention into the quality of the pressing, sleeves and packaging. Many releases are limited editions, with different vinyl colours and extra items or bonustracks.

Metal Warrior Records works with professional pressing plants and aims to make every release something that is worth adding to your collection.

DUTCH AND INTERNATIONAL METAL

Dutch metal has always been an important part of Metal Warrior Records. There is a long history of great underground bands in the Netherlands, and there are still bands making good metal today. But the label doesn't stop at the Dutch border. The catalogue includes bands from different countries and different periods. What matters is the music and whether it fits the Metal Warrior Records catalogue.

Whether it is an old demo that has been sitting in a collection for decades or a new band making its first record, Metal Warrior Records is always looking for metal that deserves to be heard.
