Yosh was formed in 1988 by ex-Future Tense guitarist Reinier Schenk. The band made its first recordings in 1991, releasing the 1991 demo on cassette and in a small number of CD copies. With a completely new line-up, Yosh recorded their debut album Metaphors in 1995. Originally released on Belgian label Colour Records, Metaphors was quickly picked up and reissued by Black Mark Records in 1996, bringing Yosh considerably more attention. The band also recorded a 25-minute live session for Studio Brussel before another line-up change pushed their sound in a more death-metal-oriented direction and ultimately led to a name change. Almost thirty years later, Metal Warrior Records brings the classic Metaphors back alongside Visions Of The Past, a collection of Yosh's early recordings.
