Abyss emerged from Rotterdam in the early 1980s, recording their first demo, A Frightday Night With..., in 1984 and quickly becoming a regular presence on the Dutch club circuit. After a three-year hiatus, the band returned in 1989 with renewed energy, recording three more demos between 1990 and 1993: Abyss, In Present Times and The Phrases Of Sin. Together, the recordings earned the band considerable attention in the Dutch metal scene.
Thirty years on, Metal Warrior Records brings the complete early Abyss story back to life. Flashbacks collects all four demo tapes alongside five live recordings, with everything remastered and presented in extended packaging featuring live photos and a free sticker.
